Whenever I go to Costco, I love checking out their home decor selection. My favorite aisle for that is actually the kitchenware one! There’s always something new and interesting to see there, be it large, high-quality dinnerware or a new set of shiny pots. During my last visit to our local store here in Illinois, I decided to take some pictures and share my favorites here. I ended up buying two of the items—or, as I should say, “just two of the items.” I definitely wanted all of the ones in my list below, but life is full of hard choices, so I settled for only two.
Mikasa 40 Piece Set ($99.99)
I own a full Mikasa set. The quality is so good that it’s been with us for many years and is still going strong. It’s a great brand, no doubt about it. If you’re looking to host in style, Mikasa offers timeless designs, and this alabaster white is no exception.
Full Set for 8 People at a great price!
Each set is for 8 people and offers five types of plates and bowls. It covers the full meal, from appetizers to dessert. Made of bone china, it’s not just beautiful but also durable and practical. These dishes are safe to use in both dishwashers and microwaves. The price is right too, with a total of 40 pieces at just under $100!
Safdie Stoneware Set For Four ($19.99)
An even more affordable option is this Safdie Casablanca 12-piece set. I love stoneware and I thought these plates with their gold rims looked very special and festive. And if you need to host more people – you could pick up two or even three of these sets. At Just under $20 per set, it’s hard to go wrong!
Gorgeous set of Fortressa glass bowls ($14.99)
I don’t recall seeing these at our Costco before, so I assume they’re new. At least, they were new to me! These pretty glass bowls are 5 inches in diameter and hold 13.5 oz per bowl. As you can see, the packages on the shelf held gray glass bowls.
Beautiful embossed glass
The Jupiter glass bowls on the shelf had a distinct greenish hue. I’m not sure if Costco was showing a slightly different set or if this is what Fortress means by “gray glass.” Either way, the design is lovely! The embossed glass detail looks high quality, and the bowls feel solid and have the right weight. With six of them in the box, they are only $2.5 each.
The Viral $1 Bowls!
I was thrilled to see these, finally! After reading about them in the Costco fan groups, here they were in full glory on our store’s shelves. Priced at $9.99, you get a set of 10 beautiful stoneware bowls, which means you’re only paying $1 per bowl! No wonder people are going gaga over them!
Small Bowls That Are Perfect for Hosting
With ten bowls, each in a different color and design, these 4.75 inches charmers look perfect for hosting. I admit, I was tempted to get them, and may still come back for them! I loved how each bowl had a different color. And typical to Costco, the quality looks very good for the price!
Set of Four Bowls by Denmark ($12.99)
Still at the bowls and dinnerware section, I found this set of classic multi-purpose bowls. I couldn’t find their measurements but they look solid and robust. Definitely worth checking out if you’re at the store.
Denmark bowls with a Scandinavian Flare
Each set offers four unique designs, differing not only in color but also in pattern. While the exterior of the bowl has embossed lines, inside, you’ll find distinct minimalistic patterns. The brand is called Denmark, but as far as I can tell, that’s not where they’re made now. I suspect the Denmark brand alludes to the overall Nordic/Scandinavian design. These felt like they could easily be on the Ikea catalog.
Large Double Glass Mugs (Discounted At $15.99)
These lovely Douro mugs by Bodum were originally priced at $19.99 for four mugs, but they have been discounted to $15.99, making them just $5 per large high-quality mug. And yes, these mugs are large, and mostly tall, holding 13.5 Oz each.

I’m a huge fan of double-glass mugs. I love how you can enjoy a hot drink while the exterior of the mug remains comfortable to hold. You get the comfort of holding a stoneware or porcelain mug, with the beauty of see-through glass.
Fortessa Glass Tumblers in Jupiter Design ($29.99)
Remember the beautiful Jupiter-design bowls I mentioned earlier? A matching set of drink tumblers was right here in the drinkware section! These tumblers have the same beaded/embossed glass design for that perfect retro look! The set contains 8 of these tumblers, priced at $29.99, or just $3.75 per tumbler.
Color Choice is Unclear (Or actually clear?)
By the time I was at the store, I could only see the blue sets in the boxes on the shelf. The ones on display were of a clear variety. Neither matches the color of the Jupiter bowls, so that’s one thing to keep in mind. However, see that asterisk there at the top right corner? Costco fans call it the “Death Star” because it means the store won’t re-stock the item once they run out. Which explains the mismatch in colors. They’re literally “while stocks last”
Set of 8 Zwiesel Glas Wine Glasses ($49.99)
This high-end original Zwiesel Glas wine glasses set includes two types: four 22.3-oz glasses for red wine and four smaller 12.3-oz glasses for white wine. Just like with Mikasa, you’re paying for a high-quality brand here, hence the price tag. In our store, the price sign had the “death star” only, so these won’t last long.
A great option for wine connoisseurs
I confess, I’m not one for fancy wines or fancy glasses. But if you are, this set could be for you. I researched this a little, and it turns out that this brand uses Tritan crystal, a lead-free material that incorporates titanium and zirconium oxides, enhancing durability and brilliance. This innovation results in glassware that is resistant to breaking, chipping, and scratching while maintaining exceptional clarity. Could very well be worth the investment.
ProKeeper Fresh Produce System ($24.99)
Storing fresh produce properly can be tricky, especially when trying to keep different types fresh for longer. This ProKeeper set caught my eye because it includes three containers of different sizes – perfect for various types of fruits and vegetables. Like most Costco deals, the price point of $24.99 for a three-piece set from a trusted brand like Progressive seemed quite reasonable.
Smart Design for Longer-Lasting Produce
What makes these containers special is their thoughtful design. Each container has an adjustable air-flow vent and a removable drip-catch base that helps prevent moisture buildup – exactly what you need to keep produce fresh longer. The containers are also crystal clear, making it easy to see what’s inside without opening them. While they take up a bit more space in the fridge than basic storage containers, the ability to actually see your produce might help prevent those forgotten vegetables that often end up as compost.
Mason 4-Piece Glass Canister Set ($21.99)
I spotted these classic Mason jars with their signature embossed design and stainless steel lids. And notice that little asterisk on the price tag? Yep, it’s one of those “get it while you can” items at Costco! The different sizes stack well together, and at just $5.50 per jar, they’re quite a bargain for genuine Mason brand storage containers.
The Original, But Make It Modern
While these are the real deal Mason brand jars (not just any glass containers we call “Mason jars”), they come with a modern twist. Instead of the traditional two-piece canning lids, these have wide-mouth openings with single-piece stainless steel lids that are perfect for pantry storage. I love how they kept the vintage embossed design that we all know and love, but made them more practical for everyday use.
Snapware 38-Piece Plastic Food Storage Set ($19.99)
If you’re wondering which items I ended up buying, those are coming up next. But first, something that I had actually purchased on a previous visit to Costco. You know those food storage sets where you can never find the matching lid? This massive Snapware set solves that problem brilliantly. For just $19.99, you get 19 containers and 19 lids in various sizes.
A Storage Set That Actually Makes Sense
Having used these containers for months now, I can honestly say they’re worth every penny. The lids snap on easily but securely and they’re perfect for both freezing and microwaving. What I particularly love is how they designed containers of different heights to use the same lid size – it’s such a smart solution for that dreaded container drawer where nothing ever matches. Even after regular use and countless trips through the dishwasher, they maintain their seal and clarity. At about a buck per piece, these have been one of my smartest Costco purchases.
Home Essentials 8-Piece Serving Set ($11.97)
Here we go, this is one of the two items I ended up buying. The fact that the price ends with 7 cents is a clue for Costco fans. It means this is a discounted price available locally, in that specific location. And for under $12, a set of two acacia wood serving boards and six glass bowls – feels like a real bargain!
Perfect for Entertaining and Beyond
This is what it looked like out of the box, on our kitchen table. The acacia wood boards provide a beautiful backdrop for serving appetizers or charcuterie, while the glass bowls are perfect for everything from nuts and olives to dips and small snacks. The bowls appear to be made of sturdy glass, and the wooden boards have that rich, warm tone that acacia wood is known for.
Gourmet Settings Eternity 5-Piece Serving Set ($14.97)
This was the other item that made it into my shopping cart. Again, it was what looked like a local deal that caught my eye—a complete serving set marked down from $19.99 to just $14.97. And look at that asterisk in the corner! If you’ve been following along, you know what that means at Costco—get it while you can! The set includes five 18/10 stainless steel pieces: a serving fork, serving spoon, casserole spoon, slotted serving spoon and serving tongs. At about $3 per piece after the markdown, it’s a solid deal for proper serving utensils that should last for years. We’ve already used them and taken them through the dishwasher twice with no issues. Love these!
