How to Decorate the Bathroom Walls with Mirrors

No bathroom is complete without a mirror, but what if you want to go beyond the functional aspect a mirror provides and use them as a design element? Before you do that, you'll need to know how to decorate the bathroom wall with mirrors.

There are a few ways you can use mirrors to decorate your bathroom. We're going to share some of our favorites and provide resources you can use to transform your bathroom.

How To Decorate The Bathroom Walls With Mirrors

Keep reading to find out more about what the addition of mirrors on the walls can do for your bathroom, and how to decorate with them.

Why Mirrors?

Mirrors are a great design element to include in any area of your home, but they're particularly suited for bathrooms. Let's take a quick glance at why you'd want to add mirrors to your bathroom walls.

First of all, mirrors brighten up a room because they reflect light. So, if you have a dim light in your bathroom, adding mirrors is an easy way to make it brighter.

The other way mirrors help in bathrooms is by changing your perception of depth and size. A full-wall mirror, for example, will make a space appear to be twice as big since it reflects the existing space. This is especially useful in small bathrooms that can feel a bit too cramped at times.

DIY or Professional Installation?

When considering adding mirrors to your bathroom, an important question to consider is whether to do it yourself (DIY) or hire a professional to take care of it.

Framed mirrors only need to be hung on a nail, so anyone can do those. Some that we've included are wall decals with adhesive backs so you can stick those yourself, too.

However, some of the mirrors are huge or don't come with a way to attach them to the wall. With these, you may want to get help from a professional. The last thing you want is for your mirrors to unexpectedly fall off the wall and shatter.

Mirror Decor Ideas for Bathrooms

Now we're going to take a look at six ways you can use mirrors to decorate the walls of your bathroom. As you'll see, there's a style for everyone and every bathroom.

1. Single Large Mirror

If you've ever been jealous of the amount of mirror space public bathrooms have, this is the design concept for you. All you have to do is get one mirror that's big enough to cover most of one wall and you're good to go! What's really nice about this idea is there's no need to worry about frames.

Here's an example of this concept in action:

Here are a couple of large mirrors that you can buy to install in your home. They both have the option of expert installation so you don't have to try to get them in place yourself.

Although designed for dance studios and gyms, there's no reason why you couldn't get this 48" x 60" mirror for your bathroom.

Not as large as the other one, this 30" x 40" mirror also has beveled edges which make it a beautiful addition to any bathroom.

2. Dual Mirrors

Adding a second mirror is a great way to increase the feeling of space and the amount of light in your bathroom. What's great about this is that you don't have to have a large wall for this element. Instead, you just need a corner in which you can place matched mirrors.

These can also be framed or unframed, and you can use nearly any type of mirror to match the style of the rest of your bathroom. This provides a lot of flexibility when choosing this design.

Here's an example of this in practice:

3. Mirror Collection

Why stop at just two mirrors? If you want a decorative element that adds light, color, texture, and lines all at once, consider adding several mismatched mirrors to your bathroom.

Depending on the size of the mirrors, you may want them as a design element only, not something that you'll have to use to get ready in the morning. If you have enough space over your sink, however, you certainly could have a small cluster of mirrors that are both decorative and functional.
