Unfortunately, furniture doesn't last forever. Eventually, you'll need to replace your main living room furniture, and the cost is one of the most important things to consider when purchasing. We have researched the cost of La-Z-Boy Sectionals to help you choose the one that best fits your budget!

Sectionals from La-Z Boy can range anywhere from $1,999 to $6,999. For the most part, the price is dependent on fabric, configuration, and any upgrades or features installed. Remember to set a budget before shopping and decide what features you want ahead of time, so you know what you're in for.

Price Factors on Sectionals

When it comes to price, there are always things that influence the item's price. La-Z Boy allows you to customize your sectional by choosing which fabrics you want, which pieces you want, and what features you want to add. Each of these influences the price and style of your sectional.

Fabric

Fabric choices affect much more than just the style of your sectional. Each fabric is priced slightly differently, depending on type or pattern. At La-Z Boy, you have over 900 fabrics to choose from, making your sectional choices highly customizable. For example, leather will cost more than other fabrics, but it is easier to match in a room and has better durability. When you're putting together your sectional at La-Z Boy, keep your fabric choice in mind when it comes to price.

Configuration

Basically, when you buy a sectional, the more pieces there are to it, the more it costs. Some sectionals will come in different sizes or shapes with a different number of pieces. When you are deciding on what you want, going smaller will be cheaper. On the other side of this, going for a larger sectional with more pieces or bigger pieces and footrests will add to the overall cost of your sectional.

At La-Z Boy, you have the option to completely design your sectional from scratch. While this does include materials, you will mostly be picking out which pieces are included. Remember that some pieces will cost more than others, and the more pieces you choose, the higher the price. La-Z Boy sectional pieces include:

  • Armless Chairs
  • Corners
  • Cuddlers
  • Love Seats
  • Chaises

Features

You might want some features on your sectional, but you should be prepared to pay more. Special pieces that have cupholders, electric footrests, or massagers will all add to the price of a sectional. If you want to save some money, skip all of the features and get something plain and functional.

According to La-Z Boy, some of the features you can include on your sectional include:

  • Manual or electric recline.
  • ComfortCore GEL Seat Cushions.
  • Sleeper Sofa Mattress.
  • FeatherLite Pillows.
  • Wood Finish Options.
  • And other aesthetic choices like wood, legs, and matching chairs.

Can you negotiate furniture prices at Lazy Boy?

You generally aren't going to get chain stores like La-Z Boy to allow for price negotiations. Even though it isn't likely, you can try to ask for discounts or try to see what the lowest price they will accept is. You obviously won't get a $3,000 sectional for $500, but you might be able to save a couple hundred.

A better option is to work on the financing prices instead. Offering cash to buy a sectional straight out may convince them to knock down the price some. If this isn't an option for you, try to put as much upfront as you can, so you can lower your monthly payments as much as possible. With good credit or previous dealings, you might also be able to lower your payments.

Does Lazy Boy price match?

La-Z Boy does price match. The following is taken from La-Z Boy's website and is their current price match policy:

"If within 30 days of purchase you find an identical item in new and good condition for a lower price from any local store (within a 50-mile radius of our store) or factory-authorized website (which delivers within a 50-mile radius of our store) La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings & Décor will match the price and refund the difference. Clearance and Hot Buy items do not apply."

In addition to this, adding full-service delivery gives customers service for parts, labor, and travel at no charge. If you need your sectional installed or brought to you, this is a great option.

How long should a sectional last?

On average, couches will last between 7 and 15 years. You shouldn't have any problems getting ten or more years out of a sectional. Be mindful though of damage from kids and pets, sun bleaching, or moving them around. The more wear and tear on the sectional, the shorter its life will be. Does Lazy Boy have a lifetime warranty?

For warranty information, you should either refer to La-Z Boy's website or the paperwork for your furniture. Overall the warranty can be a little confusing. When it comes to lifetime warranties, only certain options are covered by La-Z Boy. These include:

  • Reclining Mechanisms (parts only, exceptions apply).
  • Sleep sofa mechanism (parts only)
  • Spring systems (exceptions apply, parts only).
  • Casters (parts only).

For complete information, check out their website or ask an associate in a store. You won't be getting lifetime warranties when it comes to spilling things on your sectional or wear and tear. If you're getting upholstery or leather, though, you might want to ask if any of that can be covered. Defects in materials are generally grounds for repairs by the manufacturer as well, so you shouldn't be on the hook for things like that.

What is the best month to buy furniture?

Generally, retail stores get new furniture in stock in the spring and fall. The best time to shop will be right before the new stock arrives, as prices will be lowered to clear space. Try to shop towards the end of Summer and the end of Winter, January/February, or August/September.
