Seeing yellow stains in your bathroom sink can be an unattractive look for your home. Typically, these stains are caused by hard water or mineral deposits that have built up on your sink. More times than not, these yellow stains are out of your control. If your home has a well or the city water has high levels of minerals, it's likely the water is the problem.
1
The first step is quite easy, rinse the sink. The water from the bathroom sink is just fine. Once you have given the sink a good rinse, move on to the next step.
2
Next, sprinkle baking soda onto the yellow stains. If you want, you can apply it to the whole sink to do a complete cleaning.
3
Using the rough side of your sponge, scrub the baking soda into the stains. Use a circular motion while scrubbing and add some pressure. If you need to, apply more baking soda and repeat the scrubbing process.
4
Once you have given the yellow stains a good scrub, apply rubbing alcohol to your sponge and scrub the bathroom sink. The rubbing alcohol will help lift the stains from the surface of the sink. Repeat this step as necessary to effectively lift the stains.
5
Lastly, rinse your sink and check if there are any yellow stains left. If there is still a tint of yellow in the sink, you may need to use a more aggressive cleaning solution.
